We are looking for a Senior Web Engineer to lead a team of developers who translate UI/UX design wireframes into actual code that will produce the visual elements of the application.
Working with the UI/UX design, you will be heavily involved in the design process and will provide the technical implementation of the resulting looks and behavior.
In addition, you will work very closely with our service developers to contribute to design and implementation of the full stack.
Responsibilities
* Manage multiple tasks and use sound judgment when prioritizing
* Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and service architectures
* Collaborate with global cross functional team in building customer-centric products
* Analyze existing software implementations to identify areas of improvement and provide deadline estimates for implementing new features
* Update and maintain documentation for team processes, best practices and software runbooks
* Establish trusted partnerships with peers, product heads, and executive level stakeholders
* Must be passionate about technology and engineering
* Exceptional analytical skills and ability to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions
* Ability to leverage technology to deliver business value
* Must be independent and comfortable in a fast-paced, ambiguous and often multidirectional work environment
* Minimum 3 years of relevant professional experience using a modern object-oriented programming language (preferably Java)
* Experience using advanced CSS styling, SVGs, and animation
* Ability to work with multiple browser platforms and versions
* Experience creating reusable custom web controls or visualizations (beyond third-party libraries)
* Ability to code RESTful services and interfaces that may adhere to pre-defined API contracts
* Attention to detail and exceptionally high standards is a must - visual and creative acuteness will be highly valued
* Experience leveraging test driven development techniques
* Comfort with Agile operating models
* Team-oriented
