Client is looking for DBA Consultant who has experiences with DB2/zOS & DB2/LUW Database Administration. The DBA needs to collaborate with the architecture and application teams to set the DevOps technical vision, target architecture, tools and processes across heterogeneous integrated Java and .Net application environments.

 

Job Duties:

1. Contribute to and influence the architecture to ensure the database design and application architecture are aligned to and supported by the DevOps business needs.
2. Offer thorough and practical solutions to ensure that the DBRM system is functional, performing and scalable to meet business needs.
3. Install and configure DB2/LUW software. Perform periodic database software upgrades and patches.
4. Provide technical analysis and resolutions to difficult DB2/zOS and DB2/LUW database problems. Ensure high availability, backup and recovery of production databases using DB2 related database technology.
5. Oversee database operation & security standard, backup and recovery, data mirroring, etc.
6. Propose and implement database and/or SQL performance tuning, planning, configuration, scaling, and capacity management.
7. Rapidly prototype new ideas and concepts.
8. Engineer automated processes to minimize repeated and/or manual activities to improve efficiency
