Detailed Job Description (Peoplesoft Financials and Hyperion – Technical Support)
Routine Request
• Run Accounting source tests (JCL)
• Run request jobs (Quarter end, submit work request)
• Reschedule jobs (JCL, Panapt, LBT)
• Job dependency changes (JCL, Panapt)
• Run Prior Day processing (JCL)
• Archiving Hyperion cubes (Quarterly & yearly)
• Archiving DB2 data tables – more AD focused
• GL Detail file cleanup – more AD focused
• Hyperion (Accurev, job scheduling, LBT)
o Cube data refresh
o UDA changes
o EC & SC changes
o Smartview troubleshooting
Small Repetitive Projects:
• PeopleSoft Run control changes for allocation process (mostly JCL)
• PeopleSoft data cleanup (e.g., deleting orphan rows)
• General PeopleSoft and Hyperion research/troubleshooting
• Audit support (providing data extracts from PeopleSoft) (running JCL)
• New PeopleSoft accounting source feed set-up (JCL/mainframe datasets)
• Removing PeopleSoft accounting source feeds (JCL/mainframe datasets)
Larger Varying Projects – Examples:
• Create new Hyperion cubes
• Reconfigure Hyperion cubes – BSO to ASO
• PeopleSoft Tools and PUM upgrade – 1 or 2 per year
• Hyperion Essbase, Reports and Smartview upgrade
