Our CSRA team provides NYS DOH with innovative Medicaid solutions that deliver the functionality required to comply with the healthcare needs of New York citizens and provide the flexibility needed in today's technical environment.  You will join a group of high performing Architects to work on mission critical systems with continuously availability and extremely stringent response time service level agreements.   Here's where you come in:   You’ll join our talented Architecture Team with oversight of all application, information and technical architectures. As a member of our team you will help set the strategic direction and define the guiding principles that shape our software, data and technology adoption practices. You will have the opportunity to architect, design and develop mission critical enterprise grade applications with continuous availability and high performance requirements. You will be working on a hybrid cloud environment working across public clouds like AWS and our Tier 3 Datacenter with the ability to influence technology strategy.   We are looking for people who want to make an impact to the project.   Here’s what You’ll Do: Analyze– Perform architectural analysis and design for systems spanning the enterprise architecture portfolio Collaborate - Partner with various business stakeholders and technology leaders to translate program requirements into technical solutions and system designs. Work closely with other members of the technology teams, including developers, SME's and technical leads, to evaluate solutions and gain consensus on technical direction Design – Document and communicate architecture, estimates, and implementation plans to program stakeholders Evaluate - Research, design, test, and evaluate new technologies and solutions. Maintain an organization-wide view of current and future business and architecture to provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy Improve – Support continuous improvement with creative and efficient solutions. Develop and suggest alternative approaches to problem resolution. Assist in resolving production support issues Lead - Provide leadership and expertise in the development of standards, architectural governance, design patterns, and practices Leverage - Maintain an organization-wide view of current and future business and application architecture to provide solutions that integrate into the overall architectural vision and strategy   Here’s what You’ll Bring to the Table: Education Bachelor’s or Master's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related field   Architecture Skills and Experience Hands on experience in modern JavaScript MVC frameworks like Angular, React or Vue. Experience in Java/Spring Boot microservice backend Ability to lead and mentor development teams Provide architectural oversight for application development Ability to develop product strategy, roadmap and develop core components. Ability to make technology decisions and manage technical debt for products that has significant security, availability and performance service level agreements (SLA) Experience in Material Design and Responsive UI/UX Ability to develop/deploy in AWS toolchain is a plus. Agile/Scrum development experience Experience in DevOps cultural transformation a huge plus Experience developing and documenting solution approach including requirements, assumptions, constraints and risks; cost models, labor models, reference architectures, implementation plans, deployment models and operational objectives Support planning and project prioritization processes by advising on architecture impact and current state capabilities related to project proposals and business requirements Identify the current state of how technology is currently being used across the organization and the capabilities and business value that IT is providing. Identify opportunities and prepare business cases for improvements Ability to seamlessly switch between high level strategic thinking and developing detailed technical road maps   Requirements: BS or equivalent with ten (10) years related experience Ten (10+) years’ experience developing, including mastery of multiple domains, increased scope and depth complexity, and internal leadership in cross-functional areas, deploying and supporting computing applications and in developing business models and processes in a large-scale enterprise Two (2) years’ experience with legacy modernization and web legacy integration techniques and architectural patterns.
