Position: Senior Cyber Defense Engineer - Database
Location: Chicago, IL
Duration: 10 Months

Position Summary

The Senior Cyber Defense Engineer - Database will be responsible for assisting in the design of this company's cyber defenses for Databases. This person will themselves, and through others, help operate and enhance existing critical engineering and operations specifically focused on Databases, Data Activity Monitoring (DAM), Vulnerability Management (VM) and Dynamic Data Masking (DDM). This role will create the appropriate Cyber Defense Services (ITIL Service Design) and perform Cyber Defense Service Transition (ITIL Service Transition) to appropriate Cyber Defense and Technology Operations teams.

Position Responsibilities

Ownership of the IBM Infosphere Guardium environment, including, but not limited to, Installation, Implementation, Administration, Content Creation (rules, reports, dashboards, etc...), and Engineering Operations support.
Performs environment health assessments, capacity planning and performance benchmarks providing operational assurance (operational readiness).
Respond to Cyber Defense Incident Alerts (CDIA), provide appropriate CDIA reporting, investigate said Incident, perform ITIL Incident \ Problem tracking and bring each incident to an appropriate resolution.
Responsible for IBM Infosphere Guardium product lifecycle including, but not limited to, product patches, product upgrades, product redesigns, product EOL, etc...
Interface with other Global Information Security teams

Position Requirements
A minimum of 5 years' experience with IBM Infosphere Guardium including, but not limited to, Installation, Implementation, Administration, Content Creation (rules, reports, dashboards, etc...), and Engineering Operations support or equivalent with other monitoring tools (ie: Imperva, Oracle Audit Vault, Database Firewall, etc..)
Must have hands-on experience with Data Activity Monitor (DAM) and exposure to Vulnerability Management (VM) and Dynamic Data Masking (DDM)
Knowledge of database encryption and tokenization
Exposure \ knowledge of F5 ASM integration for end-to-end database security is a plus.
Expert knowledge of SQL, Database Catalogs & Database Schemas.
Previous experience as a DBA, Data Modeler or Data architect a plus.
Experience with other database monitoring or systems monitoring tools a plus (ie: Imperva, Oracle Audit Vault, Database Firewall, etc..)
System hardening concepts and techniques
A good understanding of Industry Security standards ( ie: ISO27002, NIST Cyber Security Framework, etc..)
