Job Description :
We are searching for a QA Tester to join a leading Life Insurance Provider in Frederick, MD!
Overview:
The QA Tester will join a small local team and a larger international team to support the testing of large amounts of financial data to ensure the data is meeting financial regulatory standards and requirements.
Responsibilities:
• Review and analyze system specifications
• Collaborate with QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans
• Execute test cases (manual or automated) and analyze results
• Evaluate product code according to specifications
• Create logs to document testing phases and defects
• Report bugs and errors to development teams
• Help troubleshoot issues
• Conduct post-release/ post-implementation testing
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle
Requirements:
• 7+ years of Application Testing experience
• Experience in developing Data/ETL test strategy & approach
• Experience in developing large scale test cases and documentation for test execution cycles
• Ability to plan, coordinate, direct and lead test execution cycles
• System integration testing experience with databases and downstream applications
• Experience in writing basic SQL queries with joins and complex TSQL queries for test proving
• Proficient in using testing tools such as ALM
• Basic understanding of XL macros and pivots and ability to work on data comparison tools
Preferred Experience:
• Life & Annuities insurance domain experience with exposure to any accounting changes (IFRS or LDTI or US GAAP)
• Ability develop test automation using industry standard tool set
