This is a unique and highly visible role within the Chief Data & Analytics Office (CDAO) Data Management team. You will deliver business consulting services to key Lines of Business (LOBs), both in-person as well as remotely (anywhere in the U.S.), with the ultimate goal of ensuring their successful adoption of the. This role also develops stewardship strategies to advance the quality and richness of enterprise data. KEY WORKING RELATIONSHIPS This position reports to the Enterprise Data Management Lead. Successful accomplishment of the primary position accountabilities is dependent upon building, establishing, and maintaining effective working relationships with a variety of caregivers. KEY POSITION ACCOUNTABILITIES Data Management & Data Governance Consultants are responsible for: - Engaging with multiples information domains simultaneously, working with each towards their implementation success (full lifecycle stewardship from metadata development to cataloging).
- Engaging with and quickly building relationships with prospective LOBs during the process to discover, understand, and document their data-related challenges, opportunities, and desired business outcomes.
- Develop a scalable strategy for the data governance stewardship domains with the key LOBs.
- Consultants will be responsible for building the Stewardship model from scratch ensuring durability in the implementations.
- Project work includes program planning, implementation planning, use case definition, program communications, and overall stewardship management.
- Leading committees and assessments for Data Governance and Stewardship adoption.
- Provides input to multiple ongoing enterprise level projects acting as a Senior Consultant in recommendations and input on risk management for data management application selections, data source identification, and data source development strategies.
- Develops operational processes, tools, and delivery channels to scale the Data Governance Stewardship.
- Supports Data Management and other business and technical resources in development of enterprise level Data Goverannce and Stewardhip adoption of enterprise level capabilities including: DQaas, Metadata Management, Master Data Management Consumption, centralized Reference Data Management, and others at identified.
- Directs the development of data quality audit tools, communication plans, and and senior leadership presentations, status reports, and presentations for assigned data domains.
- Reviews data metrics for trends and process improvements. Understands how the data is used and changed over its lifecycle. Participates in the refining of business rules and data definitions to continuously improve and enhance the data.
- Provide input on test cases and participate in user acceptance testing activities.
- Perform all duties in a manner that promotes innovative and collaborative team concepts and reflects our values.
- Possesses senior business process knowledge and how the domain data supports them. Provides expert-level knowledge of data definitions, data relationships, business rules, data flows, data usage, and data quality indicators. Facilitates improved enterprise understanding of the data.
- Exhibits excellent listening and strong communication skills. Able to communicate effectively with all types of Data Stewards (functional, enterprise, domain), stakeholders, project team members and Data Governance Analysts by providing a concise and balanced perspective.
- Advanced analytical and critical thinking skills to analyze, test and isolate complex governance problems.
- Mentors others regarding their data entry tools, workflow and data quality standards. * Demonstrated ability to study, understand, adapt and respond effectively to a changing health care environment.
- Successful experience working in a leadership capacity with virtual teams.
- Advanced analytical skills to analyze, define and maintain quality master data.
- Demonstrated successful organizational skills including prioritization and time management.
