Client : ITC Job Title: Information Security Consultant Location: Wilmington, DE/Remote till covid 19 situation settles Duration: 06 Months Extendable Position : Contract Experience: 5+ Responsibilities: - Conduct Vulnerability Assessments of Network and Security devices. Conduct penetration test and launch exploits using Nessus. Research and maintain proficiency in computer network exploitation, tools, techniques, countermeasures and trends in computer network vulnerabilities, data hiding, network security and encryption.
- Security Outbreak initiatives in managing end to end deliverables of the client to make sure all the runbooks are reviewed frequently and approved from the stakeholder's remediation drive until the closure.
- Proven experience with the products dealing with vulnerability management services which include - McAfee, Qualys, Nessus (preferably). Experience with UNIX/Linux and Windows, broad range of security devices and ability to understand the network security and good skills in firewall and router technologies.
- Analyze scan reports and suggest remediation/mitigation plan. Keep track of new vulnerabilities on various network and security devices. Advanced technical analysis on intrusions.
- Knowledge in converge IT environment (AD, DNS, firewalls, IPS, AV, routers, switches, hybrid network environment.
- Ability to manage remote environments.
- Ability to effectively manage timelines and prioritize tasks with varying deadlines.
- Strong customer service skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Experienced in leading security incident investigation and response.
Pre-requisites: - Experience on network vulnerability scanning penetration testing.
- Experience with Nessus (preferably), NMAP Backtrack, similar tools set like RetinaCS, Qualys, McAfee.
- Knowledge of Network security technology in areas of firewall, IPS, VPN, Gateway security solutions (proxy, web filtering)
- In-depth understanding of common vulnerability Exposure (CVE)/Cert advisory database.
- The analytical thinker is willing to think outside the box to resolve customer impacting situations on the first contact and to understand customer risk profile.
- Self-starter and ability to deliver under defined timelines.
Requirements: - Certifications like CEH, CPT, CISM preferred.
- MSSP (Managed Security Services Provider) experience supporting multiple customers or infrastructure.
- Network security (multi-vendor) experience.
- Broad background of networks, operating systems (Windows, Unix, Linux), firewalls and security engineering concepts.
- Knowledge of IDS deployment strategies and experience in SIEM tools (Splunk, ArcSight) will be advantageous.
- Knowledge of scripting languages
