Job Title: IT Asset Manager
Location: Evansville, Indiana
Position type: Contract
Contract duration: 3 months+ extension possible
Must have skills:
Strong familiarity and technical competence with asset management software and/or inventory-tracking systems.
Intermediate Skills: Ability to calculate figures and amounts for example, discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference and volume. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
Very High Skills:
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Responsible for the management integration of activities which are dissimilar in content and objectives; may be responsible for coordination of a specific function throughout the company
Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business reports, financial statements, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers and the general public
Detailed Job Description:
The role of the IT Asset Manager is to oversee the daily and long-term strategic management of software and technology-related hardware within the organization.
This includes planning, monitoring, and recording software and/or hardware licenses to ensure compliance with vendor contracts.
The individual will assist in forming procurement strategies for technology spend across the organization.
The IT Asset Manager will also develop and implement procedures for tracking company assets to oversee quality control throughout their lifecycles.
