Job Title: API Gateway Lead
Location: Denver, Colorado
Position type: Contract
Contract duration: 6 months+ extension possible

1. API Gateway
2. Kong
3. Kubernetes
Detailed Job Description:
• API gateway implementation with any one of the API gateway technologies like Kong/Nginx, Apigee
• Configuring nested routes , services ,rate limiting , load balancing rules
• Building custom plugins with Lua scripting or Golang
• Implement best security practices for preventing DDoS attack, CORS in the API gateway
• Security implementation with OAuth2 , JWT
• Deploying workloads on to Docker containers / Kubernetes (Preferably on AWS) with tools like Gitlab
• Canary , Blue green deployments
• Troubleshooting & fixing any production issues in the gateway
• Applying software & security patches
Good to have
• Exposure in AWS & Google cloud
• Kubernetes cluster set up & administration
• API testing frameworks
• Infrastructure automation with Terraform , cloud formation
Minimum years of experience:5+
Top 3 responsibilities:
1. API gateway implementation with any one of the API gateway technologies like KongNginx, Apigee
2. Configuring nested routes , services ,rate limiting , load balancing rules
