Title: Defect Manager
Location: Denver, CO
Duration: 12 Months
As a Defect Manager candidate will be responsible for setting up common Defect Management process across the board to align to the strategic goal of the program. Act as a validation and Quality Assurance Expert and monitor the defects logged in different phases of testing and analyze the defect to eliminate duplicate, invalid defects. Ensure required information is available and route the defect to appropriate team/project. Candidate will be responsible for conducting Defect Triage meetings, coordinate with PO, Dev SPOC, Test SPOC to triage the defect and get timeline resolution. Perform Root cause analysis on the defects to prevent, eliminate similar defects in upcoming releases
Required Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution.
• At least 10 years of Information Technology experience
• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Denver, CO or be willing to relocate to the area. This position may require travel in the US
• 7+ years of Experience with Telecom OSS/BSS domain in particular Wireless
• 7+ Experience with Test process setup and implementation, Testing strategy preparation, Test Execution, ideally in telecom domain
• 5+ Experience in Defect Management process setup and implementation across Integration, E2E and Production environments, coordinate defect triage meeting with multiple stakeholders.
• Strong analytical skills and persuasive communication – oral and written
• Ability to deep dive into defect/issue root cause and prioritize defect resolution
• Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle
• Knowledge and experience with MS office suite, especially with Excel
• Set up Defect dashboards, effective metric based reporting to stakeholders
Preferred Experience:
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
• Experience in Release Management, develop and manage Release scope, timeline, Release governance and communications to ensure release readiness and exit criterions
• Knowledge of Telecom COTS products like Blue Planet Inventory, Blue Planet SOM, Hansen COM, CPQ, Matrixx
