Detailed Job Description:
Client is looking for a mobile development lead who is an expert in React Native and has extensive development experience on both native iOS and Android platforms. This individual can be considered “full” stack, to the extent that they should be able to lead development activities in the mobile space as well as participate, when needed, in backend development (This is a lead position and will have oversight of all mobile developers)
Required Experience
- React Native Experience: 4+ years of continuous experience / Advanced or better
- Native iOS Experience (Swift, etc.): Proficient or better
- Native Android Experience (Java, Flutter, etc.): Proficient or better
• Understanding of applicable security protocols, including OIDC, SAML, etc.
• Understanding of limitations and capabilities of React Native and ability to create shims/components as necessary
• Understanding of performance analysis and tuning of mobile applications
• Leadership to see a mobile application through the full development process, i.e. development, testing, deployment to app store
Preferred Experience
• Backend development experience using .NET Core or Java
• Understanding of cloud-native (12 factor) development concepts
• Serverless and/or Container based development (Kubernetes, Docker, Openshift)
Experience Levels Defined
• Proficient: Operates independently in the subject area with minimal oversight required
• Advanced: Operates without oversight in the subject area; provides thought leadership to small teams. Understands advanced development concepts in the subject area and may contribute to the public community in the subject area at large.
Minimum years of experience: 5+
