JOB DETAILS:
Position Title : Technology Lead – Kafka
Location : Charlotte, North Carolina
Duration : 12+ Months
Data & Analytics – Technology Lead – Kafka/Java based REST API and Microservices, Python-Bigdata
In the role of Technology Lead, you will interface with key stakeholders and apply your technical proficiency across different stages of the Software Development Life Cycle including Requirements Elicitation, Application Architecture definition and Design. You will play an important role in creating the high level design artifacts. You will also deliver high quality code deliverables for a module, lead validation for all types of testing and support activities related to implementation, transition and warranty. Qualifications Basic
• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution. Will also consider three years of progressive experience in the specialty in lieu of every year of education.
• At least 7+ years of experience with Information Technology
Preferred
• At least 7+ years of total Experience in the IT industry.
• At least 4-5 years of Hands on experience in Apache Kafka, Java based Microservices-REST API services and Python-Bigdata. Should have experience in design and development of Streaming solutions and integration with Kafka Topics
• Deep knowledge in Java based Microservices and REST API Services development.
• Should be able to work on multiple medium to large projects. Should have excellent technical skills (Apache/Confluent Kafka, Big Data technologies and Python, Spark/Pyspark (Nice to have)) and also be able to take oral and written business requirements and develop efficient code to meet set deliverable.
• Experience in Solutions, gathering Business Requirements and implementing them.
• Experience and knowledge in implementing cloud-native event based architecture using Apache Kafka platform and on premise or cloud based complementary systems which includes development and support of Kafka integrations, including topics, producers, consumers, Schema Registry etc.,
• Experience working in an agile development environment and tools is required.
• Experience in working on different databases like MapR Hive, Teradata, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, MS Access and Writing efficient and complex SQLs on huge volumes of data.
• Should have ETL Java Experience.
• Manage the effort to support, resolve and document issues that arise in the environment. This may include reviewing designs and recommending improvements to the architecture / server / environments.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment.
• Analytical skills
• Experience and desire to work in a Global delivery environment
