Job Title: Big Data Operations Lead w2 Work Location & Reporting Address: Denver, CO (Day1 Onsite) Job Details: Job Description Dish Wireless is looking for a highly motivated individual to lead the Big Data Operation activities for the Network Data and Analytics team. This individual will be responsible for leading onshore and offshore operation teams, providing technical support during deployments, working with cross functional teams to gather requirements and establish permissions and connectivity, and implement tools and frameworks to enable a successful operations team. Job Responsibilities • Assist in managing the Onshore and Offshore Operations teams and provide the operations status in ontime. • Assist in project activities and technical support to the Development/Operations teams. • Assist in a position to provide immediate help to the Dish Business needs. • Assist in setting up cloud services, infrastructure, frameworks to deploy the data engineering & analytics pipelines. • Work with the team and plan for the upcoming projects and deployments. • Assist in Production support management & on call rotation management & environment support and management. • Work with the Network & Security teams to set up network connections and Roles and Policies. • Solve the Dev/Test/Prod data engineering & analytics pipelines & infrastructure issues & monitor them. • Manage Data Operations Rally User Stories/Tasks. • Groom the new team members to understand the project and work activities. Job Skills • Experience in Agile methodology; Sprint planning, Tasks tracking, etc. • Set up a High Availability/Disaster Recovery environment. • Debug/Troubleshoot environment failures and downtimes. • Performance tuning the various services in aws and third party applications. • Experience with Kafka, SPARK etc. • Experience working with AWS big data technologies (EMR, Redshift, S3, Glue, Kinesis, Dynamodb, and Lambda). • Should have prior experience in working as a Data warehouse/Big Data architect. • Strong UNIX/Linux systems administration skills, including configuration, troubleshooting and automation
