 Position: data analyst

 

Location: Kansas City, MO 

Duration: 6+ Months

VISA; USC, GC, EAD-GC

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develops and shares a strong working knowledge of applications used at the department or enterprise level.
2. Carries out applications analysis at the department level.
3. Participates in application installation, configuration, upgrades, and maintenance.
4. Participates in the installation and support of database management systems.
5. Participated in application deployment plans.
6. Develops reports using SQL and tools such as Crystal Reports and/or Oracle Report Services.
7. Prepares handbooks, manuals and other training related materials.
8. Implementing corrective action to support data integrity of the application software.
9. Diagnoses and resolves problems in response to customer reported incidents.
10. Troubleshoots application software for the purpose of isolating bugs, resolving issues and training users.
11. Assist in maintaining database operations and returning disrupted systems to normal operations.
12. Stays current on new application software technologies for the application(s) supported.
13. Works with departments to gather requirements for new and existing applications.
14. Performs other related duties as assigned, ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.

 

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: None

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
1. bachelor's degree in computer science or related degree, or equivalent experience
preferred.
2. 2-4 years in information services and technology support-related field or equivalent work
in a in a mid-range enterprise environment supporting many applications.
3. Working knowledge of relational databases and SQL.
4. Intermediate level experience in MSOffice Suite, including importing
