Proposed candidates

  • Ideally should have 10 years of PM experience and 5 years of current/recent SAP.
  • We are looking to bring in at least 10 Project Managers.

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with expertise in managing hybrid Waterfall-Agile projects, specifically in the SAP S/4HANA environment. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of both traditional waterfall project management methodologies and Agile frameworks. The Project Manager will be responsible for leading end-to-end initial implementation for a given Value Stream such as OTC, FTP, STP, PTM, LWM and RTR. This role requires active management to move work forward beyond gathering status updates. This commitment includes an "All in the Boat Together" or "Whatever it Takes" approach to helping deliver the work as long as it is within your domain or area of expertise (even if it is not spelled out in the commitment). Construct and maintain a milestone plan with cross Value Stream dependencies and hand offs into which Epics and Stories fit by sprint by PI.  This commitment will be part of the larger program and the project manager will work cohesively with the other Value Stream project managers and the overall program manager with the Enablement PMO.

Responsibilities Design Phase

  1. Organize and run all team meetings(such as daily stand-ups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives, and program increment planning) to ensure effective project execution and continuous improvement.
  2. Facilitate Cross Value Steam Dependency Planning Events to ensure each Value Stream has plan with no blockers based on dependencies with other Value Streams.
  3. Facilitate requirements gathering workshops and review workshops between the Value Stream Leaders and the Business Stakeholders. (Look to Fit / Quad A)
  4. Coach the BA and Developers to atomize in Jira all requirements to their lowest common form with a definition of done
  5. Define implementation phase scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders and project teams.
  6. Construct and maintain a milestone plan with interstream dependencies and hand offs into which Epics and Stories fit by sprint by PI. 

Responsibilities Implementation Phase

  1. Maintain a comprehensive implementation phase timeline,  and investment tracking for your Value Stream based on the IBM Ascend methodology.
  2. Lead cross-value-stream weekly status planning to ensure cross-value-stream dependencies stay on track.
  3. Monitor project progress, identify risks, and develop mitigation strategies to ensure on-time and within-budget project delivery.
  4. Track project milestones and deliverables, ensuring adherence to quality standards and compliance with project governance against the milestone plan
  5. Actively Manage the work effort by pressing for next steps and what needs to be done to achieve completion.
  6. Proactively uncovering blockers, helping drive them to conclusion, and being an active advocate for next steps thinking.
  7. Inline with the ETO Governance Process, communicate project status, risks, and issues to stakeholders and executive management, providing regular updates and ensuring transparency.
  8. Foster a collaborative and productive project environment, promoting teamwork, knowledge sharing, and effective communication among project team members.
  9. Ability to hold vendors and associates accountable for deadlines that would impact schedule etc
  10. Strong experience in identifying and managing potential risks and issues throughout the project
