Please forward suitable requirements to lokasai@captevo.com SUMMARY Around 8 years of specialized experience in Linux/Unix System Administration, Network Administration and Application Support working on RedHat Linux 4/5/6/7, SUSE Linux 10/11 IBM AIX environments. Experience in installation, configuration, backup, recovery, maintenance, and support of Several Unix/Linux Servers. Extensively worked on tools like Veritas Volume Manager (VxVM) and Veritas file System, Logical Volume Manager (LVM). Good experience in setting up of RAID0, RAID1 (mirroring) and RAID5 for data redundancy using Veritas Volume Manager and Veritas File System. Experience in building Servers using Kickstart in Linux and Manual installation. Experience in implementing High Availability Solutions using VERITAS Cluster and RedHat Cluster Server. Good Knowledge on IBM AIX, LPARS and VIO’s. Worked on OS migrations, upgrade and BIOS and NIC firmware upgrades. Configuration and administration of Fiber Card Adapter’s and handling of SAN (SAN arrays, HITACHI, EMC). Installation and upgrade of Packages and Patches configuration mgmt, version control, service pack & reviewing connectivity issue regarding security problem. Implemented day-to-day tasks in RedHat Linux include upgrading packages, kernel, and drivers. Experience in Creation and managing user accounts, security, rights, disk space and process monitoring in RedHat Linux. Experience in configuration of NIS, NIS+, LDAP, DNS, DHCP, NFS, LDAP, Automount, Sendmail, FTP, remote access, Active Directory, Security management and Security trouble shooting skills. Experience in writing shell scripts to automate the administrative tasks and management using cron and at. Experience on webservers such as Tomcat 5.x/4.x/3.x & Apache Server 2.x/1.x Experience in Installation of Oracle, MS SQL Server and MYSQL. Extensive experience in configuring Global File System (GFS) and Zetta byte File System (ZFS). Experience in VMware ESXi5.5 Server to build guest OS using cloning. Analyze, troubleshooting, and resolve RedHat Linux and Server HW, Network problems in a Production Server environment. Good working experience with Redhat Satellite Server for upgrading and patching Linux Servers. Experience working with production and 24 x 7 on call environments. Good team player, strong interpersonal and communication skills combined with self-motivation, initiative and the ability to think outside the box. Scripting done in bash and perl for automated tasks. Managed Patches, Upgrades and Licensed Products for System software on all flavors of UNIX and Linux Servers.
