Detailed Job Description:
· We are seeking an experienced Oracle Database Lead Administrator. The position’s primary responsibility will be managing large Oracle database transformation programs. This position needs extensive experience in Oracle database administration, experience across multiple versions 11g, 12c, 19c etc. The selected candidate will be responsible for leading large teams of DBAs to facilitate Database upgrade and migration projects for our large clients.
Required Qualifications:
· Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Chicago, or be willing to relocate to the area post pandemic related restrictions.
· Bachelor’s Degree or foreign equivalent, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree
· 15+ years of Relevant Information Technology experience - exposure to multiple versions of Oracle database like 11g, 12c, 19c etc.
· 10+years hands on experience in Oracle Database administration is a must.
· Experience in planning and managing large database transformation programs in terms of upgrade/migration involving 500+ databases with diverse application landscape is a must.
· Extensive experience in patching, cloning, Database backups, hands-on knowledge of OEM.
· Implementation of multi-node RAC Configurations, TDE and container databases and pluggable databases (CDB/PBD).
· Extensive experience in Oracle database upgrades, database migration leveraging different techniques such as Export/Import, RMAN, Transportable tablespace, Standby database creation.
· Experience of Golden gate is preferred.
· Hands on experience in working on AWR Reports, ASH Reports, monitoring SQL IDs, SQL Profiles, SQL Tuning advisor, Plan management, parsing issues etc. is a must.
