Job Title: SystemWare XACT Support Specialist
Location: Chicago, Illinois
Position type: Contract
Contract duration: 3 months+ extension possible
Role:
Responsible for supporting Systemwares Content Server XACT XPTR. Regularly evaluating new techniques, practices, and technologies that meet the corporations strategic goals. Evaluate the banks current EDP environment in light of new practices in a designated industry or area of expertise. Acts as a business technical consultant to partners and coordinates implementation of new processes and techniques.
• Strong Linux application level debugging and performance profiling skills.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Jenkins or Drone
• Virtualization & Hypervisor operation, networking, and troubleshooting. VMware preferred.
• Understanding of network concepts and technology including IP Addressing (CIDR/Netmasks), VLANs, port trunks, and layer 3 routing.
• Understanding of firewall operation including VPN tunnels (IPSec, SSL), S/DNAT, security zones, and complex routing scenarios.
• Understanding of Load Balancer operation and concepts including SSL termination, Layer 4 / Layer 7 differences, architecture options.
• Programming/Scripting language knowledge (Bash, PowerShell or Python). Minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
• Experience managing medium to large environments including hardware, software, virtualization, OS management, patch distribution, inventory/asset tracking, and network management is highly
