Job Title: Test Engineer

Job Details:
· Client is seeking a Test Engineer. We are looking for a self-motivated embedded software developer to join our software engineering team working on commercial products for Cable Service Provider applications.
· The ideal candidate would be able to define, design, implement, and test embedded software for communication network elements.
Basic Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required. Will also consider one year of relevant work experience in lieu of every year of education
· Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Boxborough (BXB), Massachusetts or be willing to relocate
· Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization which does not require sponsorship by the employer for a visa (H1b or otherwise).
Preferred qualifications:
· 2+years of experience with the following:
· Test planning / execution for a product feature / functionality
· Strong debugging / troubleshooting skills are required
· in depth knowledge of one or more LAN/WAN protocols such as (Ethernet, MPLS, OSPF, BGP etc).
· Solid foundation in TCP/IP protocol
· Familiarity with network provisioning and management tools including: DHCP servers, DNS Servers, TFTP Servers, Syslog servers, SNMP Management servers.
· Automation skills and experience using Python
· Familiarity with network test tools including data traffic generators a plus
· in depth knowledge of DOCSIS protocols and Cable applications a plus
· This job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time.
· Should be able to communicate by telephone, email, or face to face.
· Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
