Job Title: Senior Project Manager--Remote

SUMMARY

The Senior Project Manager is part of a high-performing team of IT Project Managers

responsible for the development and implementation of complex information technology projects

and initiatives. As a senior member of the PMO staff, the Senior Project Manager serves as a

subject matter expert on project management fundamentals, industry best practices, and project

management methodologies. This position is responsible for leading the team by example,

including coaching junior staff members as needed, assisting the PMO Director with training and

development. The Senior Project Manager must be able to solve complex problems that may

have wide impact, requiring high levels of functional integration and involving multiple

disciplines to be managed. This role requires the capacity to serve as a trusted advisor to

stakeholders on behalf of the PMO and the IT organization. This position will work closely with

all lines of business of client.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Strictly enforces use of PMI standards and best practices in all phases of a project.

2. Leads by example in instilling the expectation among peers of meeting or exceeding

all schedule, cost and scope commits.

3. Works with business partners and vendors to develop solutions to meet business

needs.

4. Provides general oversight, leadership and technical direction.

5. Identifies possible risks with contingency plans or work-around solutions with the

client on a continual basis during the project life cycle.

6. Makes formal presentations to various audiences.

7. Establishes procedures regarding implementation of project outcome.

8. Establishes effective professional business relationships with all levels of

management.

9. Develops project plans, risk/migration plans and response strategies.

10. Ensures all projects are completed on time and within budget.

11. Conducts RFIs/RFPs as needed and manages associated costs and budgets.

12. Demonstrates initiative and willingness to identify and either own or assign additional

tasks and responsibilities not already assigned.

13. Maintains and keeps in total confidence, all files, documents and records that pertain

to the operation of business.

14. Provides technical and analytical guidance to project team.

15. Leverages steering and executive committees for decision-making, change

management, and communications.

16. Identifies opportunities, issues and dependencies as early as possible to minimize risk

and maximize business benefit.

17. Performs the full range of the project management lifecycle: discovery, initiating,

planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing.

18. Creates, manages and maintains a Lessons Learned library for all major projects;

conducts Lessons Learned retrospectives with stakeholders.

19. Performs other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty

satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or

abilities.

 Must be a self-starter and work independently as well as part of a team.

 Experience with projects involving mergers and acquisitions (related to technical

implications).

 Minimum of 15 years' Project Management experience preferred.

 Supervisory experience preferred.

 Ability to handle multiple projects/programs simultaneously.

 Strong workflow analysis, process integration and problem-solving skills.

 Exceptional organizational, written, verbal and presentation skills.

 Proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio and other productivity tools.

 Documented experience executing projects using traditional SDLC principles as well

as using PMI phases and knowledge areas.

 Experience working with process improvement, financial and clinical software

applications.

 Knowledge of information technology applications, processes, software and

equipment

 Experience with various project and software development management tools such as

monday.com and DevOps preferred.

 Bachelor's Degree in technical or software discipline preferred.

 Certified with PMP, CSM or equivalent project management credential.

 Experience managing projects under one or more methodologies (i.e. Agile, Scrum,

etc.) is required.
