Description: JOB ENVIRONMENT:
This role is a solid, career-level role where functional and technical proficiency has been obtained, and incumbent will display a depth of technical understanding within his respective area of specialization allowing to operate independently. Incumbent will also display a proficiency that allows mentoring of others (third party and internal resources) on procedural matters. Manages security enterprise-scale application environments, servers, container infrastructure and related systems (ECS, EBS, IAM, CloudTrail, CloudWatch, Guardduty, Lambda, etc. Strong understanding of public, private and hybrid cloud technologies along with technical know-how implementation. Understands technology relationships and best practices required for highly available infrastructure, load balancing (ALB, NLB, ELB) platform configuration and application deployment processes
Job Requirements
Facilitates root cause analysis of AWS Cloud issues. Works with experienced team members to conduct root cause analysis of issues, review new and existing code, as well create new code, and/or perform unit testing. Creates system documentation/play books and attends requirements, design and code reviews. Receives work packages from manager and/or delegates.
- Identifies ideas to improve system performance and impact availability. Resolves complex technical design issues.
- Creates system documentation/play book(s) and participates as a reviewer and contributor in requirements, design and code reviews. May serve as the subject matter expert on development techniques.
- Partners with experienced team members to develop accurate work estimates on work packages.
- May serve as a mentor on procedural matters to less experience internal and third party team members. May assist experienced team members with the delegation of work packages.
- Strong experience with AWS Cloud tool and services implementation (AWS Config, Config. Rules, Cloud Inspector, Macie, Security Hub, IAM, and IAM Boundaries?
Minimum Requirements
6+ years of software development and systems engineering experience
Preferred
- Working knowledge and experience of Application Servers, Unix, and Containers, preferably Docker, Lambda, Jenkins, Packard, and Bit Bucket.
- Experience with cloud management and PAAS/IAAS technologies.
- Experience with Kubernetes or related container orchestration frameworks.
- Experience with configuration management tools (Service Catalog, Config. Rules, and/or Inspector)
- Software development experience (RESTful APIs, Lambda, Cloud Custodian)
- Advanced scripting experience, preferably with Lambda, Packard, bash or python
- Strong troubleshooting skills and familiarity with all technologies in Java-based web application requestsFull stack Java development, PL/SQL, XML/XSLT, HTML, API, REST, RESTful, web services, AngularJS, API Management, RUBY , and Databases.
- Object oriented architecture, design patterns, and multi-threaded application development.
- Cloud infrastructure as a service ( IaaS ) / platform as a service ( PaaS ), microservices, Red Hat Linux , Docker containers, Kubernetes , GIT, Jenkins a plus
- Amazon Web Services ( AWS ) cloud environment.
- Red Hat Enterprise Linux ( RHEL ) operating system.
- OpenShift cloud development Platform as a Service ( PaaS ).
- Docker container container-based virtualization technologies.
- Kubernetes container orchestration and scheduling deployments, scaling, and management of containerized shared service applications.
