Job title: Data Integration Lead
Responsible for leading the ETL team in gathering data integration requirements, analyzing and mapping source and target data points, hands-on in writing code to integrate the data from various sources. Actively involved in solving data integrity issues. Proficient in both traditional RDBMS as well as Big Data platforms. Manages the technical development independently and / or leveraging team consisting of both onsite and off-shore resources with the goal of delivering projects on-time and under budget. Engages and communicates with cross-functional stakeholders involved in work streams impacting their areas of responsibilities. Work closely with Project leads, DBAs and Consultants to ensure timely delivery of the projects. Responsible for developing data integration strategy, standards, tools and ensuring all work efforts have appropriate documentation for audit purposes utilizing internal standards.
The Data Integration Lead will be responsible for planning, organizing, developing, executing, evaluating and leading data integration projects from concept through delivery. Lead will gather business requirement, understand current and future data landscape and develop an effective information integration and delivery solutions for the enterprise. Expert Java and SQL developer with experience in working Data Stage ETL tool. Proven experience in working on Big Data technical stack including Apache Hadoop, Sqoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, HBase or equivalent variations. Experience in managing tasks using Agile Methodology. Experience in data analytics tools such as Tableau would be a plus.
Senior level contractor required with at least 7 years (total) experience.
Hands-on experience in managing large and complex IT projects Independent thinker with the ability to work as an individual as well as a team member Demonstrated problem solving skills and an aptitude for resolving contextual ambiguity Ability to think out of the box and research solutions independently. Strong customer orientation and relationship-building skills. Previous experience with project management methodology (preferably Agile). Extensive experience in complex computer systems specification and development, including Programming Languages. Strong background in Java and SQL development and expertise in Application frameworks like Spring, Hibernate, J2EE, JPA, JMS, JSON, JQuery Strong background in RDBMS, ETL using Tools such as Data Stage (or equivalent) Proven experience in working with Big Data technical stack including Apache Hadoop, Sqoop, Spark, Flume, Hive, HBase, Kafka or equivalent variations. Prior experience in data analytics tools such as Tableau is a plus.
