SDI statisticians are core members of multidisciplinary teams from early research to late stage development and market access. With our statistical expertise we contribute to a scientifically based decision process utilizing optimized development plans, best in class study designs and state-of-the-art statistical analyses in accordance with regulatory and payer requirements.

 

POSITION SUMMARY

A Senior Statistician provides statistical expertise to cross-functional teams and ensures the use of appropriate and efficient statistical analysis methods during development, submission and/or life-cycle management of company products according to applicable global and regional standards, procedures and regulatory guidelines.

 

POSITION DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Collaborates with representatives from other functions to plan and execute relevant experiments/studies/analyses, for example in the role of a study statistician.

• Leads virtual cross-functional sub-teams within DS&A.

• Implements standard processes for the analysis of routine experiments / studies / integrated analyses.

• Develops the statistical analysis plan for the experiment, study, or integrated analyses as appropriate.

• Facilitates the overall organization and coordination of statistical activities for a specific experiment, study or integrated analysis.

• Assumes responsibility for the production and accuracy of the statistical analysis and interpretation of the results of experiments / studies / integrated analyses.

• Works independently at routine and more complex statistical questions and tasks.

• Oversees and ensures accurate and timely delivery of statistical work outsourced to external providers.

 

Education Requirement(s):

• MS/PhD degree in statistics/biostatistics

• At least four years of experience working with/analyzing Phase II/III clinical data (in pharmaceutical or CRO)

• good knowledge of clinical study designs, common analysis methods, descriptive and inferential statistics, summarization of data and presentation practices, sample size calculations

• hands on experience of survival analyses and categorical data analysis

• proficiency in SAS

• experience in writing SAPs including tables specifications

• good knowledge of CDISC SDTM and ADaM

• ability to work independently, toward the primary responsibility of preparing and validating analyses and preparing supporting documentation

• good oral and written communication skills,

• Candidate may work on-site or off-site but on-site visits will be required; frequency to be determined by hiring manager; on-site training required.

 

Preferences:

• Cardiovascular experience preferred,

• proficiency in R and/or EAST is a plus
