This consultant will play the roles of Business Analyst, Functional Analyst, and Systems Analyst on customer facing engagements. This role involves working with business stakeholders to define solutions which meet their business, functional, and technical needs, and involves working as a member of joint data and analytics implementation teams throughout the project lifecycle. Perficient is looking for enthusiastic team players who enjoy solving tough industry and technical problems to elevate the US Healthcare system. Responsibilities - Lead business analysis activities to conceptualize innovative and imaginative technology based solutions for business problems/needs
- Lead/run Joint Application Development (JAD) sessions and requirements gathering sessions.
- Drive activities in support of the solution definition, acting as right-hand to the solution architect and technical architects to help elaborate and communicate the solution and elaboration/definition process status.
- Partner with business and technical stakeholders across functions and reporting lines, including business stakeholders, users, architects, designers, development and operations teams.
Qualifications and Experience - 5+ years’ experience working as a Business Systems and Functional Analyst
- 3 + years’ experience working with Data & Analytics solutions/systems/initiatives
- 2+ Years’ experience working within a Healthcare Payer organization or context
- Must have superb verbal and written communication skills with experience communicating upward and outward, including to technical and non-technical audiences at varying levels.
- Experience planning, facilitating, and driving JAD sessions with business and technical stakeholders and users at varying levels of the organization. Must have the ability to drive consensus amongst teams that may have differing opinions and motivations, and to drive post JAD action plans and results.
- Proven ability to demonstrate, document, and communicate the solution journey, as well as the solution development and implementation lifecycle.
- Must be a fast learner accustomed to working in a fast paced environment, with strong analytical thinking skills, as well as the ability to think strategically and operationally.
- Has a solid understanding of common healthcare use cases, business drivers, and systems, with the ability to drive-out innovative ideas and solutions which look forward.
- Has a strong functional understanding of data and analytics architecture, platforms, and frameworks; including data ingestion, data pipelines (ETL), and business intelligence/analytics reporting and visualizations.
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, from a healthcare business, process, and systems perspective, with the ability to conceptualize forward looking solutions to solve business problems.
- Experience working with the full suite of Microsoft Office tools, as well as MSFT Visio, to analyze business requirements and issues, and communicate ideas and processes visually and via written pros.
- Experience developing ROI and costing models.
- Solid understanding and experience working throughout the entire project lifecycle, with experience working with an Agile Scrum team.
- Strong user and stakeholder engagement, problem solving, and collaboration skills and experience, with proven ability to work through technical issues, people issues, and financial/billing issues which occur on large engagements.
- Experience in a professional services / consulting firm.
- Proficient in authoring, editing and presenting technical and pre-sales documentation.
- Desire to mentor more junior team members and develop their skills.
- Must have experience working in Healthcare Payer and or Healthcare Provider industry
