The Network Architect will join the team as a consultant to accomplish the following 3 initiatives:

  1. The candidate will use their experience deigning solutions for decentralized network environments to migrate to a centralized modern environment to help the client with their transition
  2. The client is an advertising company and need to solve for when large graphic files need to be sent to and from their customers.  They’re currently working with a provider to understand the bandwidth needs the consultant will work with the provider as an advocate for the client
  3. The client is growing through acquisition and have no plans of slowing down.  The consultant will need to create a plan to be used during additional acquisitions to bring the newly acquired company into the client’s network
  4. Solid communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Architect and implement a network design that supports business objectives
  • Review and design the system architecture for compliance with best practices, regulatory requirements, business objectives, and budgets
  • Review and recommend controls to mitigate risk
  • Work with security resources to implement new security technologies and controls
  • Study emerging technologies and work to ensure they are deployed safely and securely
  • Document network diagrams, traffic flows, configuration management, baseline configurations, policy, procedures

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience working as a security architect or engineer
  • Experience designing and implementing network infrastructure
  • Deep understanding of the TCP/IP protocol suite and OSI model.
  • Experience performing WAN/LAN architecture, routing and switching and 802.11 wireless implementations
  • Familiarity with identity and access management tools, authentication methods, and identity federation methodologies for network management
  • Ability to manage project deliverables and deadlines
  • Ability to develop policies, standards, and baseline configurations
  • Ability to identify and evaluate risk to IT systems and communicate risks to management
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CCNP, CCIE, or similar) are desired
