Detailed Job Description:- · Experience in migrating data from EMC VNX to Isilon storage. · Understand the network configurations for EMC NAS storage and work with network team to migrate data from EMC VNX to Isilon. · Experience working on datadobi migration tool. · DR experience to work on failover and failback of file systems. · Automation experience. · Responsible for daily administration & troubleshooting of heterogeneous SAN/NAS environment Dell/EMC, Storage Arrays including VNX, Isilon, IBM Hitachi and Cisco switches which hosts storage for Hypervisors, Linux and Windows, based hosts. · Ability to create SMB shares and NFS Exports on EMC NAS storage, In addition, troubleshoot Filer Performance Issues. · Provision storage/aggregate, Volume/LUN as provided in the service request. · Configure & troubleshoot the SAN-bootable LUN corresponding to VMware ESXi & Hyper-V hosts. · Troubleshooting and debugging of the storage environment with respect to DC IT infrastructure and compute platform · Provide health and performance report and take appropriate actions based on trends in data. · Responsible for storage zoning, configuration and management of Brocade & Cisco SAN switches. · Perform storage capacity analysis and planning · Identify, monitor, build and utilization report on the storage infrastructure using Storage Management Tools. · At least 4 years of experience in creating requirement specifications based on Architecture/Design /Detailing of Processes · At least 4 years of experience in Avamar, Power Protect Data Manager, IBM Spectrum Protect · At least 4 years of experience in Administration in Data domain and VTL’s · At least 2 years of experience in application-level backups like Oracle/SQL/SAP through DD boost (Power Protect) · Experience in handling data restore, backup reporting · Experience in automation of backup reporting and configuring reports using server graph and Data Protection advisor · At least 2 years of experience in capturing requirements related to internal/external consulting, documenting, and mapping current business process · Analytical and Communication skills · Planning and Co-ordination skills · Experience with project management · Experience and desire to work in a management consulting environment that requires regular travel.
· Skills/Abilities/Competencies Required: · 10+ Yrs of experience as Storage Administrator · Excellent interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with cross-functional teams, including staff at all levels of the organization including both technical and non-technical personnel. · Experience in troubleshooting complex computing platforms, storage systems including SAN and NAS arrays, and/or innovative technologies involving virtualization, and high availability. · Strong commitment to customer service · Help desk ticketing system experience. · Strong expertise in NAS and SAN based storage systems. · Strong experience with Cisco, Brocade SAN multilayer director class switches.
