Position: Azure Cloud Administrator

Location: Richfield, MN

Duration: 12+ months

HealthPartners is currently hiring for a Cloud Data Platform Administrator. This role creates infrastructure as code pipelines and automation within Azure and HealthPartners predefined database architecture. This position works closely with application developers to identify needs and set up appropriate pipelines. The administrator assists data-engineers in the creation of functions and automation that pertain to development, analysis, performance tuning, and modeling of data.

Required Qualifications:

4-year college degree in Computer Science, Math, Engineering, or related field OR 3+ years IS&T related experience
Self-learner with strong desire to solve hard problems
2+ years' hands on experience with DevOps
2+ years' hands on experience deploying services and Infrastructure in Azure public cloud
2+ years' hands on experience provisioning infrastructure using Terraform
2+ years' experience with Ansible
Strong knowledge of data platforms
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Experience with database backup and recovery
Available to work outside normal business hours, including weekends and be on-call (7 days x 24 hours)
Effectively use Microsoft tools, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Visio, and PowerPoint

Preferred Qualifications/Skills:

Hands on experience with Databases (Relational and No-Sql)
Hands on experience with Databricks
Hands on experience with Synapse
Hands on experience with Liquibase
Hands on experience with Azure CLI (az cli)
Hands on experience configuring Azure Monitoring
Experience working in an agile/scrum team.
Administration of Oracle or Microsoft SQL Databases.
Azure cloud certifications
Hands on experience provisioning a HIPAA compliant cloud services
Hands on experience setting up Azure DevOps Build + Release Pipelines in YAML

Hours/Location:

M-F; days with on-call (after hours support).
This position may work remotely but will prefer local/regional candidates for occasional onsite needs

Accountabilities:

Automates the creation and maintenance of data platforms.
Provides primary support for implementing, upgrading, and maintaining data platform environments.
Implement solutions to optimize system stability, resilience, and security.
Collaborates with data engineers, data product teams, and vendors to report and resolve problems.
Ensures compliance of all security standards in collaboration with IS&T Security Management.
Debugs problematic issues, provides analysis for future enhancements and development; proactively maintaining effective and efficient systems.
Forecasts and analyzes future capacity needs and develops tools and utilities to mitigate future capacity issues.
