Client: Altimetrik Job Title: AWS Solution Architect Location: Los Angeles, California (onsite) Position type: Contract Duration: 6 months+ Responsibilities: · Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performance AWS architectures using best practices and industry standards. · Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements, translate them into technical specifications, and develop effective infrastructure solutions. · Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) templates using tools like Terraform, AWS CloudFormation, or similar, to enable efficient provisioning and management of infrastructure resources. · Build and enhance self-service provisioning platforms, empowering teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources independently and efficiently. · Implement DevOps practices, including continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and automated testing, to enable rapid and reliable software delivery. · Architect and build cloud solutions for data platforms, including data storage, processing, and analytics, leveraging AWS services such as S3, Redshift, Glue, Athena, and EMR. · Automate infrastructure deployment, configuration, and management processes using appropriate tools and frameworks, with a strong emphasis on Terraform. · Ensure adherence to security and compliance standards throughout the infrastructure design and implementation phases. · Conduct thorough performance analysis, capacity planning, and cost optimization to ensure optimal resource utilization and cost-effective solutions. · Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, data engineers, operations, and security teams, to ensure seamless integration of infrastructure and data platform solutions. · Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to junior team members, fostering a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning. · Stay updated with the latest trends, advancements, and best practices in AWS, infrastructure automation, IaC, self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps, and data platform solutions, and apply them to drive continuous improvement. Qualifications: · Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. · Extensive experience as an AWS Architect, with a focus on infrastructure automation, IaC, building self-service provisioning platforms, DevOps practices, and data platform solutions. · Strong proficiency in designing and implementing complex AWS architectures, including VPC, EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, Redshift, Glue, Athena, EMR, and other relevant AWS services. · In-depth knowledge of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) concepts and tools, with strong expertise in Terraform. · Proven experience in building self-service provisioning platforms and empowering teams to provision and manage infrastructure resources independently. · Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, including CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Puppet, Chef). · Solid understanding of networking concepts, security best practices, and compliance frameworks in the AWS ecosystem. · Expertise in designing and building cloud solutions for data platforms, including data storage, processing, and analytics. · Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve complex infrastructure and data platform issues. · Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to effectively articulate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. · AWS certifications such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional, AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty or AWS Certified Machine Learning - Specialty are highly desirable.
