Glider Tech Test Required: Senior Software Engineer (DevOps, Agile, Scrum, Groovy, Dynatrace, and Python)

 

• Building a developer experience ecosystem
• Java based
• Senior software engineer needed – very much hands-on, automation, writing actual code, writing the actual test, doing code quality
• We do have a number of principal and lead engineers and this person will take on the user stories
• Java based role so a high level of proficiency in java expected
• Python nice to have – not required
• Java, strong java is a must
• Tomcat, spring boot, tomcat, rest, good to have
• Some Kubernetes experience is preferable
• Databases, good design
• Monitoring, Splunk, Dynatrace – it would be good to have one of those
• Cloud (looking for PCF) – Rules & Compliance Engine & Race are two products that are in PCF but will be on Azure and potentially OpenShift. The other aspect is that we are deploying from an end-customer perspective out towards a different infrastructure so supporting in the form of EWS AKS and potentially GCP and will support PCF
• This role is a pure java role – the team does manage the role and fill the role deployment so that is where the DevOps aspect comes into play and are nice to haves so not a DevOps Developer that we want, it is a Core Java Developer
• Common CI/CD
• Visualization & Dashboards
• Looking at the ecosystem from a developer experience, we have 6,000 developers at MasterCard and we want to standardize and bring everything into one experience
• This role in particular is building out the engine that would do the governance and security checks at every stage: developing the rules and compliance for the ecosystem
• Ensure the person who developed the software is not the person who is deploying it out to production
