Position: Devops Lead

Client: Harman / Pointsbet

Location: Jersey City, New Jersey

Duration: Long Term

Job Description:

*             Overall, at least 10 years of experience in IT operations/DevOps

*             3+ years of experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud

*             3+ years of experience with building and managing CI/CD pipelines with Jenkins, Octopus, VSTS, TeamCity, and other continuous integration and release management software

*             EITHER - expertise in Dockers, Kubernetes, Terraform (IaaS, PaaS). Preferably on Azure env but as long as they bring cloud expertise and are excellent on the DevOps skills they can be considered.

*             OR - Site Reliability Engineering - production environment availability, latency, performance, efficiency, change management, monitoring, emergency response, and capacity planning. This should be on Azure

*             3+ years of experience in writing scripts using PowerShell, bash, other scripting tools.

*             Experience with cloud databases (SQL Server, NoSQL, Data Warehouse Solutions) and setting up infrastructure as code

*             Designing/implementing micro-services or Service Oriented Architecture applications

*             Familiar with RESTFUL API implementations using JSON/SOAP

*             Working knowledge with various operating systems and platforms, specifically Windows, Debian, Mac OSX and related software

*             Extensive production application support experience as well as application monitoring especially with a modern log store / SIEM solution.

*             Some backend OO programming experience or JavaScript experience

*             SQL both using querying databases and administration experience is highly desirable

*             Experience with API management technologies in modern cloud environments

*             Experience in designing distributed systems/solutions is highly welcome
