Position: SAS Visual Analytics Programmer

Remote

Duration: 6-18 Months


The SAS Visual Analytics (VA) Programmer and Report Developer will report to the TPEIR Unit Manager in the Research and Analysis Division. This twelve-month contract position performs highly complex SAS programming, data analysis, report building and conversion for the TPEIR public website. Specific job responsibilities include gathering data requirements, converting existing reports to SAS VA with SAS datasets as backend; designing, developing, and creating SAS datasets and SAS VA reports; and optimizing SAS code using best practices.


- Ability to code, test, and debug SQL and SAS programs.

- Skill in gathering and creating requirements and other technical documentation.

- Skill in creating and maintaining formatted educational reports for public use.  

- Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to produce high quality work in a dynamic environment.

- Must be able to read and understand existing coding and processing to troubleshoot and resolve issues as they arise.

- Highly organized, ability to work independently on multiple projects at once, and meet deadlines.

- Excellent written and oral communication skills.

- Ability to work with team members and stakeholders, engage in a collaborative, results-oriented environment, and maintain cooperative working relationships with a variety of individuals and professional groups across functional units.

- Must submit to a national criminal history record information review, including fingerprinting, prior to beginning work.
