Job Description
In the role of Technology Lead, you will be a technology professional adding value to a gamut of Software Development lifecycle stages. You will create detailed design artifacts like program specifications, test plans; and independently develop and review code and contribute to the go-live plan. Qualifications Basic
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution
• At least 8+ years of relevant experience in NodeJS, Javascript frameworks (preferably ReactJS)
• Tertiary Qualification in IT / Computer Science / related discipline
Responsibilities
• Analyze project business needs and recommend IT solutions defining the overall IT structure of a program or system, aimed at improving the business, and ensuring all parts of the project run smoothly
• Hands on experience in MVC architecture, Web services, RESTful API development using NodeJS
• Proven expertise in developing multi-tier web applications that easily scales up to 500 users
• Sound knowledge of source code management and version control system tools like VSS, TFS, SVN, Github
• Ability to develop project plans using MS Project and meeting target dates consistently
• Ability to interact with Canadian and USA customers to gather requirements related to new features, new modules, interfaces and product enhancements
• Excellent written & verbal communication skills and proven ability to communicate complex quality concepts
• Ability to manage team of 8-10 developers and mentor them OR work independently
• Solid experience in an agile development environment
Preferred
• At least 2~3 years of experience in Mining/Oil & Gas Industry
• Working knowledge of NodeJS Webserver with clear understanding of security implementations like Single Sign-On, SSL, etc.
• A techno-functional consultant having programming knowledge in Javascript
• In-depth understanding of Javascript, the DOM, and relevant concepts
• Proficiency with browser based debugging and performance testing
• Experience with a testing framework (Jest/Mocha)
• Expertise in developing responsive websites using NodeJS, MVC, ReactJS, Bootstrap 4.0
• Proficient in MongoDB database development
• Build complex and Single Page Applications using ReactJS along with OAuth 2.0 implementation
• Must have in-depth knowledge of security implementations like XSS, OS Command Injection, Clickjacking, Weak Password Policy, Weak lock out mechanism, Credentials transported over an insecure channel, Cross-Site Request Forgery, Insecure password reset functionality, SSO
• Ability to work in team in diverse/ multiple stakeholder environment
• Have proven investigative, analytical and problem solving skills
• Have flexible and adaptable approach
The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
