Have a depth of experience for scheme creations (issue schemes, workflow schemes, Issue Type Screen Schemes, Field Configuration Schemes, permissions schemes, and User Security. You will have a critical role in developing governance and standards for Jira and other Atlassian products, guided by your hands-on experience, on a high-level direction as well as implementation delivery. You are confident in your ability to manage multiple requests from various stakeholders and negotiate priorities accordingly. You’ve always got your eye set on the mission-critical support task while remaining extremely flexible with changing needs of the team, technology, and our customers. You have a desire to learn new techniques and technologies and are always committed to constant improvement. You are skilled in troubleshooting various issues and problems and design creative technical solutions to eliminate repeating problems. You know best practices on Atlassian plug-ins, using, evaluating, and determining whether a project teams plug-in requests are redundant or has merit. In addition, you should be able to state the potential pitfalls of custom requests. You are a master of none, but oftentimes better than a master of one. You have strong work ethic and the ability to work with diverse teams across different time zones.   Requirements: 5+ years of experience with configuration and administration of Atlassian Products Hands-on experience setting up, managing, upgrading and migrating Atlassian tools in Server and Data Center environments Experience ScriptRunner and implementing Groovy Scripts for JIRA and Confluence. Using/extending REST services provided by Atlassian. Experience administering Jira and Confluence application configuration at the mid-to-large organization scale, including configuring/implementing add-ons, screens and workflows, schemas, and troubleshooting the Atlassian software stack. Experience in concepts of moving one project from one instance of Jira to another instance of Jira and what complexities and obstacles that need addressing. Experience with issue imports and field mappings during execution. Familiar with data retention concepts, removing unused configuration elements, and be able to do SQL querying of the Jira DB. Experience in database concepts (such as MySQL and PostgreSQL) Experience troubleshooting and performance optimization of Tomcat-based Java applications Proficiency in Linux server command line troubleshooting utilities Part of 24/7 on-call team rotation.   Bonus points if you have: Experience with Python or Java scripting language Deep knowledge of Linux operating systems (RedHat, CentOS, Ubuntu) Possession of Atlassian ACP certifications Knowledge of AWS or GCP Experience with DevOps tooling:  CloudFormation, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, GitHub. Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or equivalent years of experience   Disqualifiers: We want candidates that are strong in supporting the back-end of Jira and understand how Jira effects the use of the product.
