Need for Data Engineer-(Spark - Scala/Python and AWS)-Cognizant / Capital One

One of our clients is having open positions for Data Engineer- Spark – (Scala/Python) and AWS

 

Position: Data Engineer Spark – (Scala/Python) and AWS - Level 2

Location: Chicago, IL

Duration: 12 + months contract

Positions: 12

Client: Cognizant / Capital One

 

Requirement:

Primary Skillset: Spark – Scala/Python and AWS

Secondry Skillset: Java

• At least 8-10 years of total IT Experience with expertise in delivering applications leveraging Agile methodologies of Scrum/Kanban for all the SDLC phases starting from Advanced Analysis to providing necessary production support for built applications.
• At least 1-3 years of Hands on experience in building distributed data processing applications leveraging Spark with Scala/Java or Python
• At least 1-2 years of hands on experience building applications on AWS (certified preferred)
• Experience around building data processing platforms/applications on Cloud (AWS)
• Good knowledge around Data warehousing concepts
• Experience around DevOps leveraging Jenkins, GIT and automated test driven development approach
• Quick adoption to the emerging open source technologies and perform proof of concepts/pilots to evaluate the tech stacks
• Excellent communication skill.
