Job Details:
Qualifications:
• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, IT Infrastructure or similar discipline
• Minimum 5 years of experience as an RTE preferably in Financial Services.
• Certified SAFe 5.0 Release Train Engineer
• Past experience from organizations with SAFe and Agile ways of working and working knowledge of tools such as JIRA, Kanban Boards, Confluence and other collaborative workspaces
• Strong project management skills with a proven track record of delivering complex technical projects on time and within budget.
• Demonstrate a current knowledge of latest DevOps tooling and practices.
• Experience of continuous integration/continuous development
• Experience working in a fast paced development team
• Strong troubleshooting ability
• Strong communication skills and documentation skills, both technical and non-technical
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a high-pressure environment against multiple deadlines.
• Enthusiastic and self-motivated personality with excellent time management skills and a strong sense of initiative
• Strong analytical, interpersonal, presentation and negotiation skills
• Positive, Proactive and Get IT Done attitude
                                                                                               
Role & Responsibilities
• Value Delivery
o Responsible for the overall delivery of the Program Increment commitments
o Work with Product Managers, Product Owners, and other stakeholders to help ensure alignment between strategy and execution
o Ensure steady flow of deliverables that meet business objectives
• PI Planning
o Facilitate Pre PI Planning readiness. Maintain a checklist of tasks to be done before getting into PI planning meetings
o Facilitate the PI planning event
o Summarize Team PI Objectives into Program PI Objectives and publish them on Confluence for visibility and transparency
• Estimation & Capacity Planning
o Responsible for ensuring the capabilities/features/stories are estimated in the backlog
o Responsible for capacity planning of the pods
o Coordinate the stories estimation by platform teams and the roll-up to features/Epics
o Assist tracking the execution of features and capabilities
• Backlog Grooming & Sprint Planning
o Facilitate the backlog grooming & Sprint Planning sessions, collaborate with the Product Manager, Product Owners & Business Analysts to ensure the Backlog is populated with the granular stories needed for development and adequately prioritized.
• Tracking & Reporting
o Track sprint commitments via story points
o Actively track the financials to deliver within the approved budget. RTE will raise any resourcing concerns immediately that will have a significant impact to the overall financials.
o RTE will track the initiative metrics such as Capacity, Velocity, Burn Downs and EVM to ensure on time delivery
o Risk & Issue Management – Be proactive in capturing impediments, Risks before they turn into Issues. Help manage risks and dependencies. Maintain risk register for the value stream. Timely escalation of impediments. Act as an ‘Uber Scrum Master’ and remove the impediments
 
• Coaching & Mentoring
o Coach teams, leaders, and Scrum Masters in Agile practices and mindsets
o Encourage collaboration between platform teams across the value stream
o Formulate & maintain communication plan to describe ceremonies across Value Streams and also align with other RTEs within same value stream
• Governance
o RTE will drive the governance activities of the engagement. Governance activities include but not limited to managing EHC (External Hosting Committee) process to seek approvals on the Azure Cloud implementation, Managing the 3PEET vendor engagement and responsible for seeking approvals for EIM entry, BIA, Comet and ITSA.
 
• Ceremonies to lead
o RTE will chair the daily standups to track the daily updates and more importantly become aware of the blockers and solve the blockers that impede the progress.
o Be a problem solver, chair the meet-after sessions to dive deep into the blockers and push the teams for resolution.
o Conducts the Iteration Review & System Demo on cadence with the stakeholders. Responsible to make the reviews engaging to keep the stakeholders interested in what has been built.
• Release Management
o RTE will collaborate with Solution Train Engineer (STE), Architecture team and other technical teams to plan out the roll out of the releases within US. This includes but not limited to, working with Release Management to submit & seek approval on Release to Production (RTP) form, building implementation plans with the technical teams and coordinating the release to production activities on the day of the release
