Must Have Skills:
* 10+ years of IT systems infrastructure and engineering experience with management background.
* 6+ years of experience as a technologist or architect, preferably in an Agile environment
* Solution deployment experience in the Life Science domain and handling related systems.
* In depth working knowledge of the Microsoft stack, and in automating platform builds and deployments
* Working knowledge of.NET technologies, and Java based microservices with React/JavaScript front-end.
* Understanding of commercial DCS and SCADA systems like Delta-V, Wonderware, iFix etc.
* At least 3 years of experience designing, implementing, and managing a mixed (physical and virtual - Hyper-V and VMware) Windows environment of multiple servers
DETAILED JOB DESCRUPTION
*As a System Integration Expert, you will technically lead and provide infrastructure for digital Bioprocessing platforms, and their integration with the centralized server and application. You will ensure the solution deployment and release across multiple geographies within Merck and at customers’ site. You will technically contribute and participate in a global team to design, implement and qualify Merck Control, Connect and Collect platforms like, BioReactor, Orchestrator etc.
Presently, platforms are based on Windows Server 2019 and Windows 10 with virtualized environment that includes VMware and Hyper-V. Bioprocessing systems, and applications are being developed using industrial PLCs, SCADA, .NET technologies, and Java based microservices with React/JavaScript front-end.
In the role of System Integration Expert, you will:
* Work closely with leadership, PO, and Architects to envision and maintain a roadmap of BioContinuum System Infrastructure capabilities, aligned with the emerging digital bioprocessing strategy
* Collaborate with the team to create and maintain one or more infrastructure platform, supporting both IT and OT application development.
* Actively engage with the Solution team, Systems Engineering, and Scrum teams, sharing technical knowledge, identifying platform requirements, and delivering platform solutions to support development.
* Support and ensure the solution deployment and release across multiple geographies within Merck and at customers’ site.
* Help integrate different components of infrastructure to work together, including building in security and networking best practices.
* Lead efforts to continuously improve the delivery and maintenance of infrastructure including the application of automation to create system packages and deploy them with speed and consistency
* Mentor members of the team design and improve existing processes and procedures.
* Bring technical knowledge and hands-on systems, platforms, and CI/CD experience with integrated embedded and IoT systems
* Bring proven interpersonal skills and fluency in English to interact with a globally distributed organization.
