Job Description:
Seeking an experienced Jira Administrator to help guide this team in their journey towards becoming a world-class engineering team.
Responsibilities:
• Must be able to work standard US business hours
• Desktop support within the JIRA system
• Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise systems running Atlassian suite products including Confluence and JIRA
• Create scripts for the automation of Jira functionality
• Deploy, upgrade and patch all Atlassian systems
• Install, test and implement new versions of tools and apps in Jira
• Ensure the reliability and security of the Atlassian suite, apps and components
• Create complex JIRA workflows including project workflows, screen schemes, permission schemes, and notification schemes
• Create and configure new projects development within the JIRA system
• Follow documented JIRA best practices and policies
Qualifications
• Extensive understanding of Atlassian applications
• 2-5+ years of experience in Help Desk/Technical Support using Atlassian products
• Python script writing and development very helpful
• Deals well with ambiguous or undefined problems; ability to think abstractly and guide others
• Comfortable performing requirements analysis, interfacing with stakeholders of various levels and documenting solutions
• Excellent interpersonal skills
• Ability to articulate technical topics to non-technical audiences both in writing, in diagrams and person
• Demonstrable IT knowledge commensurate with DevOps in an Enterprise, both on premise, off premise and public cloud (AWS)
• Willing to flex your behavioral style to meet the needs of the team or work at hand
• Confident of your skills, abilities and willing to share what you know, while learning from others
Plus:
• JIRA and Confluence certified candidates
• Experience with Jira Service Desk
• Knowledge of Atlassian marketplace plugins and tools and integrations
• Hands-on experience with AWS (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS)
• Proficiency with scripting languages: Python, JavaScript, Groovy
• Experience with various database technologies (PostgreSQL)
• Jira add-on development
