Position Details:
Title: Mainframe Developer
Location: Johnston, IA
Duration : 6+ Months
Must have: 6 to 10 yrs of experience as a Mainframe developer with tech stack COBOL, JCL, DB2, IMS DB, ESP, MF Utilities, SAS, Changeman, File Master
Sr. developer for the Mainframe Cobol applications, part of a large multi-technology tower support.
Duties and responsibilities
· Resolve all complex technical issues related to the Mainframe technologies
· Lead the team of 10-15 Mainframe developers
· Report the program status on a daily and weekly basis
· Identify areas of innovation, architectural improvement on the Client Systems
Specialized knowledge and Skills (Must):
o Cobol, SAS, CICS
o IMS and DB2 Databases
o IBM-Host: JCL, Panvalet, ESP Job Scheduler, TSO, RMDS
o At least 5 years of prior experience with either developing or managing the IBM Mainframe systems
o Excellent understanding of the IBM Z/OS environment
Specialized knowledge and skills (Preferred):
o RACF Security understanding
o Experience with Legacy migration initiatives
o Experience with performance optimization
