| | | | Hi, This is Matt Williams from Cohesive Technologies and I have the below requirements from one of our esteemed client so please respond to me know if you are comfortable or if you have any consultant matching the below requirement Title: Build & Integration Engineer Location: Build & Integration Engineer Duration: 12 + Months Job Responsibilities: - As a Senior Software Configuration Management (SCM) Engineer, one will champion software build and integration strategy for software development projects, champion continuous integration and continuous delivery of software, plan/manage SCM tasks for the projects, and support product teams and software developers in SCM activities. Android B&I and GERRIT experience is must for this position.
- Duties will include daily interaction and communication with the development team to coordinate SCM activities; merging, labeling, and building development source code; creating and enhancing tools and scripts; reviewing existing SCM processes to identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborating with and gathering input from management and lead developers to implement process enhancements and improvements; acting as a resource for developers and providing guidance and training on tools and process as needed; evaluating tools to support SCM process, and providing recommendations for implementation.
- Front line for resolving build and functional breakages (based on the build logs and auto-smoke test results) Working knowledge of software development tools (debugger's, compilers, etc).
- Lead SCM activities with local/remote team members for distributed and offsite product software development.
Basic Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science
- 5+ years' experience in SCM, Build & Integration in Continuous Integration environment.
- 2+ years' experience in leading SCM and Build & Integration activities for software projects/products and supporting build & integration with remote / offshore teams, managing day to day operations with offshore teams.
- 2+ years' experience using GIT to support the workflow of software development projects on Windows and Linux Systems.
- 2+ years' experience in Android build & integration using GERRIT and Jenkins
- Experience using GIT to manage multiple parallel development streams and release repositories by means of branching, staging, merging and tagging.
- 2+ years of experience in Python, GNU make, shell-scripting.
- 2+ years of experience in Cloud / AWS infrastructure for Build & Integration
- 2+ years' experience in Static Analysis Tools, Code Coverage Tools, Unit Test Tools, Open Source Compliance Tools and integration with Build systems.
- 2+ years of experience in Build analytics, metrics collection, dashboards, operation and maintenance of build infrastructure
- Experience developing and debugging software in a real-time, embedded, multiprocessor, multi-interface environment.
- Expertise in one or more of the following areas
- Issue Tracking integrated with GIT repository possibly JIRA
- Build Artifact management, use of Artifactory
- Build Automation
- Android build system knowledge, new product bring-up, set-up baselines, integrating third-party deliverables.
- Continuous integration
- Continuous deployment Jenkins for example
- Test tool integration
- Familiarity with other software version control
- Preferred skills include knowledge of Java and C/C++ development experience
