·       Job Role: ETL Tester

·       Location: NYC/Remote

·       Duration: 6+ Months Contract

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The role will be accountable to validate and maintain the software quality

* 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience

* 4+ years of ETL Processes/ Data Warehouse Testing experience.

* Hands-on experience in ORACLE database technologies

* Strong expertise in ORACLE SQL and PL/SQL scripting

* Knowledge of automated testing is a plus.

* Proficient in defect tracking/Quality assurance tools such as  ALM and JIRA. qtest is a plus.

* Strong verbal and written communication skills

* Understanding of business and attention to detail

* Financial domain experience is a plus.

* Competent technical skills

* Ability to work in a team and individually.

* Proven experience with QA processes and deliverables in an Agile/SCRUM environment.

* Knowledge on Python, Unix and Tosca DI is a plus.

* Experience with MongoDB (nice to have)

 

Roles and Responsibilities includes:

* Reviews requirements and specifications, and defines test conditions

* Designs test cases and test scripts under own direction, mapping back to pre-determined criteria, recording and reporting outcomes

* Experience in preparing Test Strategy, developing Test Plan, Detailed Test Cases, writing Test Scripts by decomposing Business Requirements, and developing Test Scenarios to support quality deliverable

* Analyses and reports test activities and results

* Identifies and reports issues and risks associated with own work

* Relational database experience covering writing queries, manipulating test data through SQL statements

* Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively to varying audiences

* Writing SQL queries including complicated joins to verify proper mapping of data elements

* Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

* Expertise in Data validation and Data comparison

* Well-versed with all stages of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC)

* Knowledge and experience in Metadata and Star schema/Snowflake schema.

* Proficient enough to Analyze Source Systems, Staging area, Fact and Dimension tables in Target D/W

* Experience in ETL Processes (Data Warehouse Testing) and BI testing (Qlikview/ Cognos)
