Job Description

A Splunk architect is a professional who designs, implements, and maintains Splunk solutions for various use cases, such as security, IT operations, business analytics, and DevOps. A Splunk architect is responsible for ensuring the scalability, performance, security, and reliability of Splunk deployments, as well as integrating Splunk with other data sources and applications.

Requirements

·         A bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.

·         At least five years of experience in Splunk administration, development, and architecture, including Splunk Enterprise, Splunk Cloud, Splunk Enterprise Security, and Splunk IT Service Intelligence.

·         Expertise in Splunk data ingestion, parsing, indexing, searching, reporting, alerting, and dashboarding, using Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and Splunk Data Models.

·         Proficiency in Splunk architecture design and best practices, such as distributed deployment, clustering, load balancing, high availability, disaster recovery, and backup and restore.

·         Knowledge of Splunk integration methods and APIs, such as HTTP Event Collector (HEC), Splunk DB Connect, Splunk Add-ons, and Splunk SDKs.

Preferences

·         Working knowledge of Windows, Linux with some UNIX scripting experience.

·         Splunk Search Processing Language (SPL) and Regular Expression expertise

·         Splunk Core Certified Power User certification

·         Splunk Enterprise Certified Admin or Splunk Cloud Certified Admin preferred

·         Expertise with Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL)

·         Experience leveraging Splunk or audit logs for incident response and user behavior analytics

·         Experience with additional other Enterprise Monitoring tools such as Dynatrace and Solar Winds is a plus.

·         Administering Splunk Enterprise Security (Splunk ES)
