Job Description for
Principal Technology Project Manager
Highly skilled, experienced and motivated Technical Project Manager to lead critical initiatives. This TPM will be responsible for overseeing the planning, coordination and execution of technical projects within our organization. Experiential knowledge of one or more of the following is a plus: Microsoft Exchange, Citrix to Cloud, Enterprise Fax to Cloud, Enterprise Search. Experience working with senior leaders is a must as the assigned project(s) involve report-outs to owners of the organization's highest priority delivery areas.
This Principal Technical Project Manager will:
o Lead planning and coordination with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, operations, business stakeholders, enterprise security and identity management teams to ensure successful project delivery.
o Develop comprehensive project plans, including timelines, milestones and resource allocation.
o Coordinate with stakeholders to identify project goals, requirements and deliverables
o Break down projects into management task sets and distribute among team members
o Monitor project progress, identify risks and proactively address potential roadblocks
o Regularly communicate project status updates to stakeholders and team members utilizing precise and clear approaches appropriate to the level of leadership being addressed
o Where necessary, conduct analyses, needs assessments and cost/benefit assessments and opportunities
Essential requirements in addition to the above:
o Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field (or equivalent work experience)
o Proven experience as a Technical Project Manager or in a similar role, successfully delivering complex technical projects.
o Strong technical background with knowledge of software development methodologies and tools
o Excellent project management skills, including planning, organization and coordination
