Role: PostgreSQL Database Administration
Location: McLean, VA

Job Description:

•At least 3 years of experience in PostgreSQL Database Administration on Linux including:

Installation, configuration, and maintenance

Performance troubleshooting and database tuning

Replication and high availability

•Strong knowledge of SQL, PL/pgSQL and ability to analyze/debug stored procedures, functions & triggers.

•Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks, statistics, and isolation levels

•Experience with database migration, preferably from Sybase to Postgres is desirable.

•Experience with Postgres Client interface drivers and installation

•Strong Unix/Linux knowledge and experience in Unix Shell scripting, Python programming is desirable.


Update from Customer:-

·         Sybase to PostgreSQL migration project (On perm in linux server red hat not on cloud) - multiple databases, we use ispirer tool to migrate schema from sybase to postgre. DMS to migrate data
