 Position: SQL Developer/ SSRS Developer

 

Location: MINNEAPOLIS MN

 

Duration: 12+ Months

I need a really strong Sr. SQL Server Developer/ SSRS Developer with Healthcare experience and knowledge if claims. It's with CVS in North Carolina. 

Sr Analyst with 9+ years of SQL 2008 development experience. Candidate should be proficient in developing SSIS packages, writing advanced T-SQL queries, analyzing existing stored procedures and recommending modifications for efficiency gains, assisting existing staff in converting legacy processes as well as creating new processes to standardize tasks. Candidate should also have experience with Microsoft Visual Studio and deploying projects from the IDE.

The Sr SQL Server/SSIS Developer is proficient in all critical functions for the application(s) assigned, and is expected to champion SDLC methods and best practices on the team to ensure quality standards are met. Responsible for the design/redesign, development and implementation of technical solutions, incorporating peripheral knowledge of other internal applications and related technologies in the analysis and design. Adhere to established methodologies, standards and guidelines.
Responsible to work independently or participate in small to mid-size projects completing complex work requests under minimal guidance. Accountable to formulate/define system scope and objectives for deliverables ensuring established timelines and cost estimates are maintained. Provide ongoing production support and maintenance as assigned, which may include rotational 24x7 on-call support or code implementation efforts. Effectively present information and respond to questions either one-on-one or to groups, including formal presentations and regular status to management and business partners. Share technical and business expertise with other team members and business partners. Work to understand business, functional and technical issues to effectively apply technical solutions. Devise or modify procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time, and desired results. Participate in internal quality assurance review and post implementation support and system enhancements. Additionally, facilitate meetings with both technical and business audiences, often across multiple functional departments. May instruct, direct and check the work of other staff assigned to the project. Identify areas for improvement, present recommendations and champion changes. Keep apprised on industry best practices.

This role will be responsible for modifying existing ETL process to support specialty and Accordant programs, as well as creating new ETL processes. This position will engage in data modeling exercises, estimate and work on large initiatives, assist with peer reviews, and create and review project designs. The role also includes developing and deploying SSRS reports

Resource needs to be able to confidently answer situational questions that are normally done in a SQL Server environment. Need a person who logged many hours coding on SQL Server not someone who used it mainly for storage purposes.
