Job Description for Network Security Administrator:
1. Firewall Security Administration: (40%)
§ Implement approved "Security Exception Form" requests by creating new security rules in the firewall rule base for permissions/denials of objects, groups, services (ports) as required by users, clubs, business lines and business partners.
§ Make necessary routing changes to firewall modules, make modifications and reset IPSEC tunnels.
§ Add/delete remote users and provide limited access to services as required by Security Exception Form.
§ Troubleshoot all SSL VPN connectivity & application issues.
§ Maintain Firewalls for AAA/CAA Clubs
2. Troubleshooting Network - ClubLink/ASP: (30%)
§ Troubleshoot all network related club/partners/users issues using a variety of tools such as the firewall log tracker (real and historical), network management tools, network analyzers and our knowledgebase to resolve any outstanding problem.
§ Provide 24X7 support for all critical ClubLink/ASP network applications.
§ Provide recommendations to technical issues as necessary.
§ LAN network support to include remote VPN or dialup access
3. Project Work: Projects of varying degrees of complexity: (20%)
§ Create new VPN access for AAA/CAA clubs. Work closely with all AAA VPN Clubs to create and secure new VPN tunnels to our BCP site in Lisle Chicago. Duties require a thorough understanding of our VPN requirements and network troubleshooting skills as a majority of the clubs manages their own networks with different VPN firewalls.
§ Upgrade Clubs from MPLS to ClubLink VPN.
§ Assisting with designs for new network infrastructure such as the National DMZ, new LAN/WAN designs and in the RFQs processes for new networks. Attend design meetings.
§ Configure and implement new firewall devices that are used in some of our AAA ClubLink clubs. Work closely with club's IT managers and WAN vendor to replace existing equipment with these new devices and make necessary routing changes. Newly created VPN tunnels are tested for encrypted data and failover verified.
§ Configure and install routers, IOS upgrades, and or new equipment.
4. Implementation: (5%)
§ Work along with team to implement new DMZ requests, new LAN/WAN/WLAN routers and switches.
§ Make necessary changes to LAN/WAN/WLAN configurations to accommodate new network requests, changes or troubleshoot network issues. Changes include access-list modifications, static routes additions/removals, Ethernet port changes etc.
5. Documentation & Reports: (5%)
§ Update/create any existing or new documentation for procedural changes in the network.
§ Construct new or revise existing diagrams using Visio tool for designs/implementations
§ Provide monthly detailed reports on ClubLink VPN/MPLS data utilization reports for individual clubs.
§ Provide utilization reports and analysis for ERS clubs.
§ Run IP accounting reports for clubs having trouble identifying network problems.
§ Run application network tests and provide a written evaluation.
