Job Title: Network Engineer (Onsite)
Work Location: Washington, District of Columbia
Client: Infosys Technologies Limited
Contract duration: 12 Months + Extendable Possible

NOTE: This opportunity is not remote.
It requires working from Washington DC, and travelling (day travel) once a week to NY.
travelling expenses to NY will be paid by client.
Job Details:
· Management of service delivery projects, including data circuits, LAN and WLAN implementations, and IP security configurations.
· Troubleshoots existing information systems, application, middleware, or networks to identify errors or deficiencies. Brainstorms possible solutions and evaluates alternatives against decision criteria.
· Leads and coordinates the resolution of support issues escalated by senior operations, development personnel or service provider personnel. Guides vendors during the problem resolution process as needed.
· Provides technical expertise across business functions. Identifies opportunities to improve business processes via new technologies.
· Serves as a consultant, trusted advisor and, as necessary, escalation point (Tier 3) for issues.
· May partner with leadership to help define and communicate the long‐term technology strategy and planning for the enterprise.
· Assists and/or may lead in the development and analysis of source selection strategies.
· Works with service providers to ensure that them in‐scope technical solutions are consistent with the enterprise business strategy and architecture.
· Provides project managers with technical consultation and advice, enabling quick response to inquiries related to the program/project.
· Provides technical analyses to help define, assess and monitor the technical aspects of the program/project or services.
· Designs innovative solutions using new technologies. Recommends short‐term alternatives when appropriate. Proposes designs at key milestone events.
· Working knowledge of networking monitoring tools like Riverbed/Infoblox/SolarWinds etc.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
· Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering or equivalent plus 7+ years of relevant work experience or 11+ years of relevant technical experience, preferably with substantial experience in a project leadership or Subject Matter Expert capacity, required to satisfy education and experience requirements
· CCNA/CCNP certification or similar networking certification is mandatory.
· Must possess strong communication and interpersonal skills, work well with others in an integrated team environment, and must be self‐motivated.
· Must possess working experience utilizing the ITIL Framework for Incident, Change, Problem, and Release Management
