Looking for candidates regarding the following:

REMOTE WITH HEAVY TRAVEL, up to 50% Travel required (within the US). 35-40 hours weekly - Work Loc. State/Prov.:   Virginia

Description:  

Note: We need resources who have the Ability to lead and drive projects, have strong expertise in the wireless domain (have been working with 9800 wireless controller for 3-4+ years), and who are comfortable and confident functioning as an advisor/expert in a client facing role.

 

REMOTE WITH HEAVY TRAVEL, up to 50% Travel required (within the US). 35-40 hours weekly. The engineer will need the following skills:  Highly skilled with performing on-site Wireless survey’s for AP placement.  Must have strong experience with Cisco 9800 Wireless Controllers, Cisco/Meraki Wireless, and Ekahau survey tools (sidekick). Any experience with Aruba Wireless would be a plus.Wireless Pre-Design Site Visit, Wireless Predictive Design, Wireless Post Installation Survey, &  APoS Surveys.

Knowledge of 802.11 standards, CAPWAP, Cisco WLC; be able to use tools such as Cisco Prime Infrastructure, AirMagnet Spectrum, Ekahau Pro, or other Survey and RF tools, to design and support WLANS.

Interact with clients on site to meet complex requirements of a solution.

Escalate unresolved problems and issues to the relevant third parties.

Respond to escalated client requests and support client applications to a first line resolution.

Escalate complex problems to the relevant third parties.

Write reports and proposals and complete and maintain project documentation.

Assist with the documentation of standard operating procedures relating to installations and fixes.

Strong understanding of Cisco Wireless Network architecture, design, configuration, and operations is required.

Strong practical knowledge of switching and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, and EIGRP).

Solid understanding of general Network and Security fundamentals.

Remotely supporting clients within service level agreements (SLAs), Install and Configure software and hardware as well as resolve incidents, Perform root cause analysis and adhere to any related processes such as change management.

Device and network performance analysis and troubleshooting skills Strong oral and written communication skills.

Ability to be an active participant in technical discussions (internally and externally with vendors).

Demonstrated technical success in a fast paced, results-oriented engineering environment.

Ability to work independently.

Possessing active certifications: Cisco Certified Network Professional (CCNP) Wireless or Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP), is a strong plus.

Highly prefer engineers with one or more of the following:

CCNA Wireless

CMNA (Cisco Meraki Network Associate)   CMNO (Cisco Meraki Network Operator)

ACMA (Aruba Certified Mobility Associate Aruba Networks)

The Wireless Network Engineer must be a detail oriented, committed problem solver with robust communication skills who will execute the vision through the design and oversight of a web and mobile application platform. Responsible for setup and installation of technical systems, applications, or process designs for client’s purchased or outsourced technology and business process solutions. Works directly with client to manage initial access, map and transfer data, create process documentation, and train or coordinate training for client users. Tests and troubleshoots functionality of installed systems; identifies and documents technical issues to be escalated to product and system integration teams for resolution. Provides feedback based on client experiences to product and professional services teams for product and process improvements.  Experience working for a Global multi-national corporation is desirable.

Required Experience:

Must have 5-7 years of experience in specification, design, development, and deployment of digital wireless Networks and communication systems
