Job Description:
The qualified candidate for this position will be a senior member of a Server and Storage Engineering team (Linux, Windows, Storage, and Backup) supporting multiple Linux platforms. This individual will be a highly-motivated self-starter working closely with the Enterprise Infrastructure Architecture teams as well as a global IT Support group.
Skills required
- 7+ years' experience in mid-range systems engineering - particularly Red-Hat Enterprise Linux.
- Experienced supporting multiple critical enterprise applications on Linux systems.
- Experience supporting a multiple node Oracle RAC environment running on Linux strongly preferred
- Experienced in the migration of legacy services and applications
- HPe server and/or blade server experience
- Scripting experience; Shell (BASH), PERL, Python
- Experience with VMware virtualization
- Familiarity with enterprise processes and procedures (ITIL) regarding change control, security auditing/remediation and documentation
- Experience with automation and configuration management tools (i.e. Puppet, Ansible, Jenkins, Satellite)
- Experienced in the migration of legacy services and applications
- HPe server and/or blade server experience
