Job Description:

Our Fortune 500 Client is looking for a NodeJS Developer & Tester with a focus on testing and developing web services to join our Partner Web Services Engineering team. 

Responsibilities: 

• Work closely with product owners and team to understand requirements, design and develop solutions using best practices 
• Participate in code reviews to ensure new code conforms to highest standards 
• Develop, test and maintain various production quality Node.js based microservices. 
• Mentor and develop junior developers. 
• Own and work on improving Automation coverage of the both existing and new services. 

Basic Qualifications: 

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering or similar field 
• 5+ years of software engineering experience 
• Experience working on large scale, customer facing, webservices and or applications 
• Strong hands-on experience in server side JavaScript development using Node.js 
• Experience with using and developing with REST and SOAP based APIs. 
• Experience with Automation frameworks and libraries (e.g. Chai, Mocha, Sinon, etc.) 
• Practical experience building RESTful web services. 
• Experienced with interacting with Databases and backend systems. 

Preferred Qualifications: 

• Experience with Amazon Web Services specifically lambda based services. 
• Experience with Amazon DynamoDB and ElasticCache/Redis. 
• Passionate about open source technologies. 
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. 
• Leadership experience as a Team Lead in previous roles.
